I am concerned about the state of Tippings wood / Boundary Wood , as a daily user of this area I have noticed that many of the footpaths are now overgrown, some almost impassible with Nettles, Brambles and long grass .There has been considerable vandalism with fences and gates broken / removed, the pond dipping platform has been damaged for months, litter in the car park, and anti social behaviour in the car park.
I have contacted
“However, I do not agree that Tippings Wood is neglected with little or no management, nor do I agree that it looks abandoned! The site is visited routinely at least every three months (though in reality much more often) in accordance with our site safety policy. Routine works and issues raised by these visits are attended to by a group of volunteers (from outside the area) run by a colleague or if necessary a paid contractor”
It goes on to say that ….
“In your complaint you mention a number of anti-social activities which take place on Tippings Wood. The sad fact is that where sites are open to the public some people will take advantage of that. and they seem to accept the fact that there is illegal use of motor cycles and quadbikes
“Unfortunately physically restricting motorbikes from site is impossible if we are to allow access to all legitimate users. It may be for this reason that some stiles and gates have been removed. “
Only yesterday is wooden seat/ bench was damaged and is now beyond use.

Vandalism and Anti-social behaviour in Tippings Wood and it`s car Park......
There has been several incidents of vandalism in Tippings wood, Masses of Litter in the Car Park, inapropriate use of the car park by people not using the recreational facilities, just a meeting place for bored youngsters, opely using Drugs, who leave the area strewn with litter, just a few metres from the Litter Bin. The Pond Dipping Platform is yet again broken, and recently a wooden Gate and surrounding fencing securing part of the Wood, was badly damaged (vandalised) a few days later the gate was removed and stolen, who are these people ? and why are they allowed to ruin a well used recreational area and wildlife haven ?
A path leading to the Pond was churned up last weekend by either a motorcycle or Quadbike and left it impassible when wet, I recently had an encounter with a Quadbike who had no regard for other users of the area.
